ISO Congress, London
3-9 July 2016
Dear ISO Members
With the help of our English colleagues we have planned a programme that is full of interest, and we very much look forward to welcoming you.
We have four centuries of British organs to show you: among them a reconstructed sixteenth-century organ; the largest British organ from the time of G.F. Handel, newly restored; a heroic nineteenth-century organ blown by water power; a four-manual pneumatic organ with a spectacular 32ft façade; and new organs from the 20th and 21st centuries.
Together we will visit many splendid historic buildings in and around London (including two Royal palaces), take an evening cruise on the River Thames, experience many aspects of English cultural life, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of one of the world’s great cities.
